Bedtime

So it's come to my attention that I haven't blog for a while and they're tired of seeing the damaged tree. And quite frankly I am sick of seeing it too. I've wanted to blog and update but it takes a little effort and we've been pretty busy so I've been to worn out to do it. I should be getting a few more minutes now that we are getting into cooler weather. We've finished up football with Josh, soccer with Nate, had our primary program last Sunday, and plenty of hair appointments to keep me busy. Of course Nate has school and Josh has his preschool and now Danny has just returned to school so we have plenty to keep us busy. And Audrey and Colton keep my days and nights occupied.

So, let me just start by saying that I love my kids. But I also really love bedtime! I really, really enjoy that quiet, peaceful sound when they are fast asleep. They just have so much energy during the day that by the end of the day I'm ready for some relaxing moments. A little bit of my own time to watch some grown-up shows and not Qubo. So when it's their bedtime a give a sigh of relief. I will also admit that I stay up too late because I'm enjoying my "me" time a little too much- that and Audrey is also a night owl that doesn't go to bed until I do with her in my arms. And although I enjoy this bedtime quiet and them slumbering away, I also equally love watching my children sleep. I love seeing the peace on their faces when they are deep in sleep. I love seeing all their little features that I'm seldom able to examine when they're awake and moving. There is just something so enjoyable to me to see them sleep. No matter what has happened during the day, what wrongs they have done or I have done, it's at night when they're laying their still, I know that none of it matters at all. They are mine. My sleeping angels!!!!!

The Storm

Late Saturday night we had a massive storm hit. It was a HUGE storm. One of those storms that all you can say is: WOW! The winds were coming in sideways. The hail was hitting hard, I thought it would crack our patio door. Our power went out just after midnight. Then we heard an alarm. With the power out, our sump pump wasn't working. The alarm was in there alerting us that the water levels were near flooding. So Danny had to get 5 gallon buckets and dump the water out. He set his phone on an alarm for every 15 minutes so he could dump the water out. I felt so bad for him being up all night. But with out him doing it, our basement would have flooded, so grateful that he was willing to do that. We were lucky and our power finally came back on about 4:30am.

This is the extent of our damage. This huge branch fell of our tree. It didn't do any damage, our pool deck was completely fine. It did look like a war zone around our house and surrounding area. It was amazing the damage that the winds did. There were so many trees up-rooted all around us. Our church was even out of power so it was canceled. It was one crazy storm that left us with lots of clean up to do

Half a Year

(If you look closely, you can see the 2 teeth she has on the bottom gums)

Where has the last 6 months gone? I can't believe she's already 6 months old. She's been with us for half a year. She has been so fun to have in our family. I just can't stop kissing her and squeezing her. She is one of the happiest- smiliest babies ever. Now at 6 months she is rolling over everywhere and I mean everywhere. She gets up on all 4's but she's a little to chunky to crawl so she'll do a army crawl and lots of rolling to get places. She plays with toys, attacks your face-she really loves faces. She laughs and giggles, can sit up on her own for short periods of time. Loves the exersaucer, loves to nurse and hates food. She has not taken to eating food yet, she prefers to just nurse, which clearly she's getting enough. We haven't taken her in for her 6 month appt yet so we don't know what she weighs yet but we know we love this little chunky princess. I took a few pics of her to share of what she's up to at her 6 month milestone.

(Such a pretty girl)

(I'm a happy girl)

(I see you mommy)

(Audrey has another love, grabbing her toes and sucking on them.)

Happy 6 month Birthday Audrey!!!

Misc. pictures

Mommy and Audrey at Nate's first soccer game. I thought Audrey just looked adorable! I did get a few pics of Nate but they didn't turn out too good because of the rain. I'll take some more of him at his next game.

So, this is how I found Colton the other day. He usually puts himself to sleep whenever he's tired. He'll just go to sleep wherever he is at. And he has to have his head covered.

He was all sweaty! I had to uncover his head so he could get some air.

Josh and Audrey laying by each other. He found a blanket for himself and one for Audrey. He's a pretty good brother.

So, the other day, I put Colton to bed for a nap. I went to check on him and couldn't find him. I looked on the bottom bunk-no Colton. I looked on the top bunk-no Colton. I was getting a little worried. I thought maybe he snuck downstairs to play with the toys, (he did that the other day), then I noticed that he was in the crib. He once again, covered his face to be asleep. He's such a silly boy.

September 3 is here again. And this year is a milestone year. This would have been her 8th birthday and she would have been baptized this month. It's hard for me to believe that it's been that long. To me it's a very special day. A day that I'll never forget. This is Lidia's day, her birth day. And unfortunately we'll never be able to buy her gifts and see her open them. But fortunately we are able to decorate and leave little memento's on her headstone back in June. I am lucky enough to have some super sensitive boys that yearn to get things for Lidia. In June, Nate kept asking to get her flowers but I knew that I couldn't let just one boy put something on her grave. I had to get something for everyone to lay down. So we did. In August when we came again we are happy to see that everything was still there but the flowers.

For now this is the only way I'll ever be able to have all my children together. I'm am beyond grateful in the knowledge that we can see her again one day. My testimony of eternal marriages and families is unwavering. I am so thankful to a loving Heavenly Father that gave us the ability to be together forever. I am also grateful to my Savior, for his sacrifice and love for us that we all may live again. I love my little family. They may drive me bonkers at times but because of the trials I have been through it helps me remember what treasures and gifts they are. I love each one of my children individually. I love my Nate, my Josh, my Colton, and my Audrey. I often tell each of them that they are my favorite Nate or fav. Josh, fav. Colton and fav Audrey. And after all that I've learned and continue to learn, this is just one, that Audrey has been a tender mercy in my life from my Heavenly Father. She hasn't nor will she ever replace Lidia but she has mended alot of ache in my heart. I will always love my angel baby Lidia.

Bath Time

We have this this bath ring that I love when the babies are big enough to sit in for the tub. I just don't think that Audrey is big enough for it yet, I guess it's just denial on my part that she's getting so big but she enjoys it. She sits in it rather well. I tend to underestimate the things that she's ready for or can do because she's my baby literally the baby of my family. I have gotten pictures of all the kids around this age in the bath tub and then I get them in black and white. I had, (it broke a few weeks ago but I will replace it) a picture frame that held 4 pictures that I put them into. So I could display the black and white pictures of all my babies in the bathtub. To me it's a sweet reminder of all my sweet clean , naked, rolly-polly belly babies. I figured it was time to get some of Audrey so here are a few of my favorite pics of her. I think I've figured out which one I should get in black and white but what do you all think?

Kyle and Erica's Wedding

Wedding Dinner

The wedding dinner was held at the Syracuse rec center. They had Cafe Rio cater the meal. It was very yummy. However, we knew that the kids would not really eat the enchilada's so rather than waste it on them, Grandma bought them a kids meal from Iceberg's.

The family

The soon-to-be-newlyweds.

Aunt Kathy is holding Colton and Sofie

This is a shot of 4 generations. From left to right, my mom, grandma Moore, Audrey and me.

After the dinner, Grandma is noodled while Audrey is ready to play.

The Sealing: Salt Lake Temple

Nate took this of Audrey and I

Look at this cute little Sofie. Isn't she adorable! Tilisa made her and Audrey's dresses-she did so great. And she made it us all the adorable hair bows. Thanks Tilisa!

Nathan is monkeying around!

Kyle & Erica's future! She looked amazing! The kids were so hungry and tired so this is the best we got of them.

This would be my children: all natural!

Cute family shot of Jason, Tilisa and Sophie

Most of us

Grandpa with my boys

I thought this was cute. Audrey really likes her uncle Jason

My Josh and I. He didn't want a picture.

Playing cousins.

Proud parents. They both look really cute.

Nate is resting.

My sweet girl was tired.

Reception
He's all happy after his ice cream cone as the evidence shows on his shirt.

Josh is entertained by the river, he loved just throwing rocks in.

Trying to get some shots of us cause they were dressed up all cute. We couldn't get a picture from the front cause they had chocolate ice cream all over their shirts. I should have waited on ice cream until after some pictures of us-all my fault I know better.

A picture of the cousins, all be it, they are actually my cousins but their closer in age to my boys.

Kellen and Holly holding Audrey after the reception. We all loved Holly, she was so cute with all the kids.
